1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using AuthBro, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue using our web application and security utilities immediately.
2. Description of Service & Zero-Knowledge Architecture
AuthBro provides a client-side Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) verification code generator and encrypted vault utility. You acknowledge and understand that:
- Client-Side Execution: All cryptographic operations, TOTP code calculations, QR scanning, and vault data storage are performed locally in your web browser environment.
- No User Account Database: AuthBro does not create backend server user accounts, maintain cloud vault backups, or store your 2FA secret keys on remote infrastructure.
3. User Responsibilities & Master Key Security
As a user of AuthBro, you hold sole responsibility for:
- Exporting & Safeguarding Backups: Generating and maintaining safe offline backups (encrypted JSON archives) of your secret keys.
- Browser Cache & Device Care: Understanding that clearing browser site storage, local cookies, or resetting your computer will remove stored vault entries if no external backup file is preserved.
- Master Passphrase Preservation: Remembering your master passphrase if vault encryption is enabled. AuthBro developers cannot decrypt, bypass, or recover lost master passwords.
- Local Device Security: Keeping your hardware free from malware, screen recording utilities, keyloggers, or unauthorized physical access.
4. Acceptable & Prohibited Use
You agree to use AuthBro solely for lawful account authentication and security purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Use AuthBro in connection with any illegal activity, unauthorized computer access, or system tampering.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, inject malicious payloads, or exploit client-side components to compromise other users' hardware.
- Misrepresent your identity or attempt to bypass authentication mechanisms of third-party platform providers.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The original software source code, design elements, visual layout, graphics, and brand identity of AuthBro are owned by AuthBro and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Third-party brand logos and product names (such as Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Amazon, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners and used solely for visual account identification.
6. Service Availability & Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of AuthBro at any time without prior notice. As AuthBro operates locally in browser memory, existing loaded sessions can function offline independently of our web server status.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, AuthBro, its authors, developers, and operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of account access, loss of data, business disruption, or financial losses resulting from your use of this utility.
8. Governing Law & Updates to Terms
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. We reserve the right to revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of AuthBro following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
