By using this service, you acknowledge that all cryptographic code generation occurs locally inside your web browser environment.
2. No Central Server Backup & User Responsibility for Recovery Keys
AuthBro operates on a 100% zero-knowledge, client-side execution model. We maintain no central server database, no cloud user accounts, and no master password recovery mechanisms. Consequently:
- User Data Retention Responsibility: You are solely responsible for exporting, maintaining, and safely storing password-protected JSON backup archives of your 2FA secret keys.
- Browser Data Loss: If you clear your browser history, local storage, site cache, or switch devices without maintaining an external backup file, your saved 2FA tokens will be permanently erased. AuthBro staff cannot restore, recover, or decrypt lost 2FA keys.
- Emergency Backup Codes: We strongly advise all users to print or securely store the emergency single-use recovery codes provided by third-party platforms (such as Google, GitHub, Microsoft, or financial institutions) when enabling two-factor authentication.
3. Device Time Synchronization & Code Accuracy
Time-based One-Time Passwords (RFC 6238) rely strictly on exact Unix timestamp calculations. The 6-digit verification codes calculated by AuthBro are directly dependent on your device's operating system clock. We are not liable for authentication failures or temporary account lockouts caused by inaccurate local system time, network clock drift, or improper device NTP configuration.
4. Third-Party Services & Trademarks Disclaimer
All product names, brand logos, trademarks, and registered trademarks displayed within AuthBro (such as Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Amazon AWS, Cloudflare, Binance, Discord, etc.) are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion within our icon library is purely for visual account identification and issuer matching. AuthBro is an independent utility and is not affiliated, endorsed, or sponsored by any third-party service provider.
5. Limitation of Liability & "As Is" Warranty
AuthBro is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AuthBro, its developers, and contributors disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular security purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted software operation.
Under no circumstances shall AuthBro be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of the use, inability to use, data loss, or reliance upon 2FA codes generated by this utility.
6. Security Integrity & Responsible Usage
While AuthBro uses standard Web Crypto API algorithms (AES-256-GCM, HMAC-SHA1) inside isolated browser sandboxes, users are responsible for securing their personal hardware against local malware, screen recording tools, keyloggers, and unauthorized physical access to their unlocked devices.
